Greetings,

Today (April 28) we went flower watching and birding in the Cowichan Valley
(Vancouver Island BC), visiting the Sutton Creek (Honeymoon Bay) Wildflower
Preserve and Cowichan River Provincial Park. At the river park we walked
the loop from the Skutz Fall Forest Service Road to the 66 mile bridge.
Although not particularly loaded with migrants, the trip was absolutely
fantastic for flowers - lots of white and pink lilies (Erythronium revolutum
and Erythonium oreganum), as well as a couple of large patches of hybrids.
Other flowers were in abundance too.

Although we didn't encounter too many migrants, there were fairly high
numbers of HAMMOND'S FLYCATCHERS (32) and TOWNSEND'S WARBLERS (24).
