My new "yard" bird this morning is an adult summer-plumaged Golden-crowned
Sparrow. I watched it strip seeds off some low-growing clumps of grass
rather than going for the seed I had scattered about. The pair of Spotted
Towhees (regulars) were gobbling down scattered seed nearby!
