Greetings all,
First off thank you for taking the time to read this message. For those who
do not know me, my name is Colin Thoreen. I am 16 years old and have been a
birder since 5th grade, when my best friend introduced me to the hobby. Over
the years I have made many friends and became involved with Seattle Audubon
Society. Four years ago I asked how I could help the most with SAS and they
said to take part in Birdathon. I did every year I have raised more and more
money. All the money donated goes to the education programs at SAS. This
year I have a goal of $2500. During a solid 24hr period from Friday May 10
to Saturday May 11 I will travel the state with the rest of my team (Peter
Klien, Gene Hunn, Brendan McGarry, Tyler Davis, Ryan Merril, and I) in
search of birds. We estimate this year to come up with about 135 different
species. If you would like to pledge a flat donation or a per/species it
would be very much appreciated. Even $5 helps. In return I will send you a
narrative of where we went and what we saw. Thanks again.
