Mark,
I don't have any other suggestions for guide books to BC Birding. A
suggestion would be to sign on to several of the BC chat lines sometime
before your impending visit.
For sign up instructions visit Daniel Bastaja's excellent web site at:
http://www.birdingfaqs.com/. Daniel took a northern BC trip in 2001 & might
be able to give you some hints for an itinerary.
For a visit to Northern BC, Dawson Creek northward, plan your trip for late
June early July. A trip to this area can get you "many" of the eastern
warblers. This area is on the eastern side of the Rocky Mtns. so many
Eastern species are breeding ion the area. The BCFO (British Columbia Field
Ornithologists) had their Provincial Conference at Dawson Creek in late June
of 2001 with an extension trip of 4 days north to Fort Nelson. The
following is a list of species seen by myself during the conference and
ensuing extension trip. I have edited out any species which not deemed of
interest (Starling, Song Sparrow etc.).
