I spent a couple of hours at mid-day today at the
Snohomish STP. The large pond outside the fenced
enclosure (to the west) is nearly completely dry.
There are a few shallow puddles up to maybe a hundred
feet across at the largest. There are a few
shorebirds hanging out there. It was amusing to watch
a group of Western Sandpipers feeding with SemiPalms,
though the birds fed together the Westerns fed just in
the shallow water right at ponds edge while the
SemiPalms fed out of the water on the mud.
Birds of note:

Greater Yellowlegs (5)
Lesser Yellowlegs (2)
Long Billed Dowitcher (3)
Western Sandpiper (9: 8 Juv., 1 Adult)
Semipalmated Sandpiper (8: most Juv.,at least 2 Adult)

Good Birding!
