Hi Tweeters,

With Bobwhites, you might keep in mind that people that conduct dog
trials often use them, as well as Chuckars as bait for the dogs. The
dogs don't always get them all, as I have observed at prairie sites in
the south sound. My guess would be that Bobwhites and Chuckars seen at
unusual sites (and even the usual sites), come from this source. Also, I
have seen promotions at hardware stores where they gave away Bobwhite
chicks with each purchase.
