Hi Tweets

I almost never see hummers in the summer here in Ballard but I get Anna's
all winter. I've seen an increase in activity the last couple of days, and
two were hanging around this morning, one of them stayed the whole day, on
and off. It looked like a juv female Anna's. The other had just a bit of a
gorget. They usually don't hang around until Sep. to Nov. so this is darned
early if its the start of a pattern. Time will tell.

I reported it at the time, but I saw a male Bobwhite in Commodore Park in
Seattle three or four years ago. I'm 100% certain. He probably wandered
over from Discovery Park, a stones throw away.
