Hello Tweets,

We commend Eugene Hunn for posting his recent experience with an alternate
plumaged Marbled Godwit and realizing the differences in comparing them from
true Bar-tailed Godwits,as it may be a learning experience for all. We in
particular felt some second looks needed to be applied on the 11th of July
upon observing such an individual,but as noted in our recent Tweeters
posting we had no difficuly in seperating the two species. Having mostly
juvenile Marbled Godwits present today with two adult birds hosted a good
comparision along with the other large shorebird species.
