Dear Tweeters,

Yesterday at around 5-6 p.m. Tammy and I saw a White-tailed kite in the southern area of the Scatter Creek Wildlife area in Thurston County. The bird was hunting and often hovering and dropping to the ground in the open prairie area between the trail and 183rd Ave SW. After a while it perched at the top of a mid-sized shrub.
