Greetings,

These birds at Wenatchee Confluence State Park, Chelan County:
The juvenile Little Gull that was at the state park on 16 Aug looks like it
was a bird on the move. It hasn't been seen since.
Today, 21 August, the Eurasian Collared -Dove was seen at the Confluence
Wetlands interpretive station. I watched it from 730PM to 800 PM as I sat on
the bench at the station. It was perched almost directly overhead on power
lines. It then flew to the north, then returned and disappeared in brush and
trees below the station.
An adult Herring Gull in breeding plumage was along the Columbia River at
the south end of the park on 21 August. A second year Mew Gull was in the
same area on 17 Aug.
Eurasian Collared-Dove Directions:
>From US 2 at Wenatchee, eastbound or westbound, follow signs to the State
Park. Very soon after entering the park, take the first right turn,
which goes to a small parking lot along the Loop Trail, an asphalt trail.
Walk the Loop Trail south, go over the bridge over the Wenatchee River. Look
for Ospreys, adults and one surviving fledgling, from the bridge. Continue
south on the
Loop Trail [asphalt path] for a little more than a 1/4 mile to the
interpretive station titled "Confluence Wetlands".

Good Birding,
