A couple weeks back ( August 2nd - 4th ) a friend and I spent the
weekend out at Wenas Creek campground. We also had an encounter with our
first Badger as well. It was just siting in the middle of the Umtanum
Road and as we slowly approached, it lumbered into the roadside wash.
We watch (from the truck) as it made its way up the wash and out of
sight. Quite a beautiful mammal, took us both by surprise to see one.
