Bob Woodley found a SOLITARY SANDPIPER at the Yakima Delta on September 19.
He had previously located one there on August 7 that was not noted on the
previous update.

With a weather change, a mini-fallout occurred at Two Rivers County Park in
Kennewick on August 21, as reported by Dennis Rockwell. He noted a
WARBLING VIREO, a CHIPPING SPARROW, ORANGE-CROWNED, NASHVILLE, YELLOW,
TOWNSEND'S, MACGILLIVRAY'S AND WILSON'S WARBLERS as well as GREATER &
LESSER YELLOWLEGS, SPOTTED and WESTERN SANDPIPERS.

Also on August 21, Bob Woodley observed a COMMON LOON as well as 3 YELLOW
WARBLERS and 2 CASSIN'S VIREOS in Leslie Groves Park in Richland.

At the Yakima Delta on August 22, Nancy LaFramboise found a SANDERLING
among other more common shorebirds.

Roger Pollari noted a LEWIS'S WOODPECKER at the West Richland Golf Course
on August 23.

On August 26, Bob Woodley discovered an AMERICAN REDSTART in Leslie Groves
Park as well as 2 SPOTTED SANDPIPERS, 2 WARBLING VIREOS, 1 NASHVILLE and 7
YELLOW WARBLERS and a WESTERN TANAGER. At his Richland home he had a
WARBLING VIREO and 3 BLACK-CHINNED HUMMINGBIRDS, The previous day he also
had a CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRD. When looking for the redstart, Ruth Fischer,
Chris Simonen, and Nancy LaFramboise found an OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER in
Groves Park. The American Redstart is possibly the 7th Benton county record.

Bob Woodley located a MARBLED GODWIT at the Yakima Delta on August 27.
This was the first Marbled Godwit there in the past 5 years.
