Lou Ann and Tweeters,
I may have seen the same flock you spotted. Back on August 8th there were 3 adult Turkeys along the shoulder of Lake Flora Road, which is very near the location you mentioned. I didn't post it on Tweeters at the time because I know there have been a lot of escapees and a lot of releases throughout the State over the years, and I have never heard of any established wild colonies in the South Kitsap / North Mason area. I know there are some established colonies in the Twisp area and I think down along the Columbia east of the Cascades. Can a "Turkey Expert" help us out here?

I thought it was an unusual sighting for the area. Have there been
other occurrences of Wild Turkeys in Kitsap/Mason counties?
