Yesterday, Sat., we drove to Dash Point in search of the ancient murrelets
about 3:00. The fog was quite heavy but we could see about 100 yds with the
scope. Almost immediatly we saw a raft of 8 then several more in pairs
drifting on the outgoing tide. While scanning for more murrelets, we also
saw what was most likely 3 Cassin's auklets. Numerous common murres,
rednecked grebes, horned grebes, and young surf scoters were also seen.
