I was trying to find out about the taxonomy of some native Hawaiian birds,
so I checked the website for the latest supplement to Clements' "Birds of
the World". To my amazement, dated December 1, 2002, there is a MAJOR
taxonomic revision of the Herring Gull group. Did the rest of you already
know about this? What do you think about it? There are some other very
interesting changes, too.
