We have had a couple of moderate size flocks of Pine Siskins at Marymoor
Park in Redmond over the last couple of weeks, but not the numbers we
usually have. That is one of the few places I have seen any numbers of
these birds so far this fall. Most years they seem to be in virtually
all favorable locations.
We have had decent numbers of Golden-crowned Sparrows also at Marymoor,
and they have been showing up in their regular locations. Most usually
in the berry bushes around the west end of the west dog area parking
lot, in the berry bushes along the trail running west from their, and in
the berry patches near the compost pits on the east of the interpretive
trail/east dog parking lot.
