Hi tweets,

I didn't realize it until this thread came up but I
haven't seen many siskins this fall at all. Normally
I have a couple of very large flocks numbering in the
low hundreds in my neighborhood and its almost
impossible to step outside and not hear one flying
overhead. This morning however on my way to the bus
stop a flock of 50 or so flew over the road near
Kenmore Junior High. I guess there are a few around,
just maybe not as many this year.

In some belated news, Tuesday afternoon I was in West
Seattle. There were 31 Black Turnstones roosting at
Duwamish Head as well as 137 Surfbirds and a single
Rock Sandpiper. This is by far the largest flock of
Surfbirds and Turnstones I have seen at this location.
