Monday, December 1, 9:29 AM - This is Ruth Callard (206 527 4035). This
is not a rare bird and I don't even know that much about birds, but I
wanted to tell somebody that I think I saw a GREAT HORNED OWL in Cowan
Park (some people call it Ravenna Park). It came and sat in a tree high
in front of me. It was big! It looked in the book like it might be a
GREAT HORNED OWL. It looked all brown to me. I was just wondering if
anyone else saw it and if I got the right bird. Thanks.

Friday, December 6, 7:13 AM - Hi, this is Tom Aversa reporting on a trip
up north yesterday. Just to update a couple of birds. The RED-SHOULDERED
HAWK, adult, is still at the Skagit Game Range on the entrance road.
Pretty easy to see, staying down low. Also, an adult PRAIRIE FALCON on
the Samish Flats just south of Sullivan Road on Bayview Edison. Six
SHORT-EARED OWLS on Eide Road in Stanwood.
