Tweets,
Spent most of the morning birding under partly cloudy
skies with spots of sun. Highlights were as follows: At Foulweather Bluff's
Nature Conservancy Preserve I had an imm. Snow Goose (a first for that area
for me), an adult Red-tailed hawk, approx 200 American Robins, 4 Green-winged
Teal and 1 Greater Yellowlegs. At PNP, I counted 235 Common Murres off the
point, so it must have been a good nesting season for them this past Summer,
2 Marbled Murrelets , 15 Brandt's Cormorants, 25 Sanderlings and 1 adult
Cooper's Hawk in the marsh area. Stopping at Manzanita Landing (Bainbridge
Is) on the way home, I had a Eurasian Widgeon in with 75 Americans, plus 7
Eared grebes.
It was a great morning for
birding.........
