Rob, I understand your concerns, but if it's WNV that concerns you, then
you'd want us to continue taking them. The reason is, when we take those
birds into our care, they're given a "check-up" to make sure all things are
fine with that individual. If WNV comes up in that bird later on in it's
life, the falconer is quick to attempt to fight the virus to save the birds
life. Also, there are tripple the amount of (known) peregrines than before
WWII. I would also like to let you know that the commision passed the
proposal to take p. falcons. I understand everyone's concerns and I'm happy
to help you guys understand why it's not going to hurt anything. I don't
mind at all any arguements against my emails at all, it's a friendly debate
(minus the activist) and I think this thread has done well (minus the
activist).
