The Bean Goose was seen again on Monday, the 9th. It was initially
discovered by Ruth and Patrick Sullivan on Saturday and videotaped by them
on Sunday. It was located today by Scott Downes and Charlie Wright about
noon. Charlie also videotaped the bird. The goose was relocated by Bob
Morse, Mickey and Bob Wheeler (from Miami) about 2 PM at the extreme west
end of the runway at Bowerman Field. Take the Sandpiper Trail and just as
the trail bears right into a small grove of trees near the end of the
boardwalk, go left across the field toward the end of the runway. It was
seen with 6 Canada Geese in a flock that did not associate with the large
Canada Goose flocks at the airport.
