The lack of a forehead, i.e. there is a reasonably straight line from
crown to bill tip, suggests Thick-billed A.f.serrirostris.
A.f.middendorffii normally has a slight, but distinct, forehead.

Note that there have been reports of probable intergrading between
middendorffii and serrirostris.
