Hi Tweeters:
I'm attaching a couple of pictures that I took this morning of a Hummer
guest surrounded in Christmas lights in West Seattle. I first saw the bird
on Sunday the 8th, and a neighbor of mine said she saw the bird last week.
It may be sleeping in my hedge at night, because it has been at the feeder
promptly at first light, and has been doing its best to clear the area of
Anna's. If the bird stays, I do hope our winter remains mild.
I sent these pictures to Mike Patterson who writes:

"Rufous/Allen's female hatch-year=2002

Odds are that it's a Rufous, but there's no way to
exclude Allen's at this age/sex class."
