Back from a week of birding in south Florida and I was delighted to see some unusual visitors on the large pond adjactent to Madigan Army Med. Center yesterday. Five duck species and 2 geese! Besides the usual Mallards and our seasonal regulars, the Buffleheads and Gadwalls we had a pair of Am. Wigeons and a rare visit fron a Northern Pintail. Among the normal bunch of Canada Geese was one lonely Greater White Fronted. "Bean Goose Fever" gripped me and I chuged all the way around the lake to confirm that it was indeed a Gtr. White Fronted. Oh, well...
