I missed the Bean Goose yesterday. I had the right idea in looking beyond it's
usual haunts (checked fields on the way to Ocean Shores, near Ocosta across
Grays Harbor from Hoqium and fields between Aberdeen and Brady Loop Rd, as
well as Brady Loop Road itself)- I could see the area Wilson Cady described
from the Simpson Street Bridge, and wondered if there was a place to view
them. Guess I needed to have tried harder!

Oh well, a few consolation prizes:

Western Bluebird, male, west end of Brady Loop Road
Brown-headed Cowbird, 2 female plumaged birds, southwest corner of Brady Loop
Road (may have been more and maybe a few other interesting species, but a
Peregrine got the blackbird flock up before I could complete my scan)
Western Scrub-Jay, NE corner of Brady Loop Road

And today in Seattle, outside of my office window on the University of
Washington campus, one Orange-crowned Warbler.
