This weekend we had considerable wind and rain. Today
as I was driving home I saw 5-6 phalaropes (red?)
swimming in the flooded fields on North Fork Rd. about
4 miles east of Nehalem, OR. I assume they got blown
over from the ocean. They seemed perfectly content in
their large if temporary lake.
