December 15, 2:45 PM - Hello. This is Phil Knox (509) 962-2191. The
BLACK PHOEBE is alive and well at the viewing platform at Julia Butler
Hansen Wildlife Refuge. It appears to be foraging actively and
successfully. Thanks.

December 15, 6:43 PM - This is Scott Atkinson with a report for Clallam
County today. On the Port Angeles to Victoria, B.C. ferry a few good
birds. Ten NORTHERN FULMAR. One was light phase, one was intermediate,
and the remainder were dark phase. 77 ANCIENT MURRELETS and 75 RED
PHALAROPES. 40 of these were right off the end of Ediz Hook. Eight more
RED PHALAROPE were within the inner part of the bay near the end of the
public access area near the Coast Guard gate on Ediz Hook. Also in this
area were four ROCK SANDPIPER, many BLACK TURNSTONES, and a nice gull
roost that included a surprising 225 THAYERS GULLS, 30 CALIFORNIA GULLS
and one HERRING GULL there as well. That's it.

December 15, 8:32 PM - This is Steven Mlodinov. Today Dennis Duffy and I
had the two BLUE GEESE at the west end of Bow Road south of Stanwood
and the one BLUE GOOSE at the Fir Island Snow Goose Reserve. These birds
were in large flocks of SNOW GEESE. At the Snow Goose Reserve there was
also a CACKLING CANADA GOOSE. That's it. Good luck and good birding.
