I recently received a flyer from the UBC Press advising of the
imminent publication of "Birds of the Yukon Territory", edited by
Pamela Sinclair, Wendy Nixon, Cameron Eckert, and Nancy Hughes. This
book, which will be published next spring, is to be more than 600
pages long.

The pre-publication price, available until March 15, 2003, is $99.95.
For orders received after that, the price will be $125.00. (I believe
these prices are in U.S. dollars for orders received from the U.S.)
They claim
that the book will not be reprinted.

The flyer also advises that all 4 volumes of "The Birds of British
Columbia" by Wayne Campbell et al. will be available for $49.95 each,
also valid only until March 15, 2003. (Darn-- this is a lot less than
I paid for these volumes!)

No, I am not an agent for the UBC Press, and I will not get a
commission for each book sold. :-) :-) I just thought that some of
you might be interested in buying the book, and would like to know
about it.
