The Beaner was also mentioned on Chelan's FM station KOZI on Wednesday. It
was called a Lone Bean Goose as if that was the species name.

Hi Tweeters:

In case you have not seen this, the Tuesday, December 17th edition of the
Aberdeen DAILY WORLD has an article about the Bean Goose in Hoquiam, with
comments from local birders, and with a very dandy picture attributed to
Patrick Sullivan. Also there is a nice comment by the owner of Lana's Cafe.
(I eat there occasionally.) Should you wish to read the article, here is
the web address for the page. Unfortunately Patrick's picture of Beaner is
not on the web site; you will need to request the 12/17/02 hard copy edition
of the paper to see the bird (with a nice shot of a Canada Goose nearby for
comparison).
