Dee and I decided to stop and take a look for the beavers at Meadowbrook
Pond on our way home from holiday errands and shopping. It appears that the
largest tree on the island was downed and landed on the bridge. No luck
with the beaver.
However, we saw a Great Blue Heron roosting in a tree. A pair of hooded
mergansers, green-winged teal, gadwall, mallards, lots of bufflehead, coots,
pied-billed grebe, and a beautiful male wood duck.
