I saw a little silhouette of a bird flycatching out my window today,
and found several gorgeous Townsend's Warblers sallying forth from a spruce
to attack a hatch of some sort of insect, often hovering for several seconds
to do so. I would say this is pretty normal . . . for spring. Isn't it
fairly unusual for there to be an insect hatch this time of year? Maybe
that's why the warblers were going so crazy - they were at it for nearly two
hours, after all.

Good Holidays and Good Birding!
