It appears that the Sibley book is going to be split into two parts,
Western and Eastern. Supposedly the new volumes will be out in '03.
FYI.

Recently I purchased a Jansport "Roadrunner" day pack thru ABA. It's
touted as a pack designed especially for birders, and sure looks like
it's going to be great on those in-and-out-of-the-car trips. The
Roadrunner is designed to be worn over one shoulder for easy on/off, has
room for Sibley and your bins (in separate pockets), a pocket for a
good-sized water bottle, and three more pockets, for a small camera,
cell fone, FRS radio, whatever. I think it's way cool and am looking
forward to using it soon!
