December 22, 8:05 AM - This is Steven Mlodinov. Yesterday Ryan Shaw and
I birded from Bay Center to Westport. No geese of interest. We did have
a WHITE-TAILED KITE just south of South Bend in the pastures along the
highway on the way to Bay Center and 25 RED PHALAROPES near Acosta in a
flooded field. That was pretty much it. A fair number of shore birds,
nothing else unusual. There were two wintering WHIMBREL and one WILLET
among the MARBLED GODWITS at Tokeland. That's it. Good luck and good
