The only notable birds this past week were SHORT-EARED OWLS in Idaho. Not
that they are unusual, it just seems we haven't seen many lately. On the
Rathdrum Prairie, just northwest of Coeur d'Alene, Kootenai Co, ID on 21
Dec, Stephen Lindsay saw 2 SHORT-EARED OWLS hunting together in the vicinity
of Spokane Avenue where it takes off from Hayden Avenue. ID DeLorme 60,
AB-1.

Today, 23 Dec, Dave Holick reports seeing 2 SHORT-EARED OWLS circling over
fields near the intersection of Darby and Olson roads about 1.5 miles NE of
Moscow, Latah Co ID. ID DeLorme 58, BC-1.

If you have any questions about birds on the report, call me before 9 pm at
208.883.0943. If you see any of the birds mentioned in this report, be sure
to let me know.

Good birding.
