Twelve of us, at various times, enjoyed some very nice weather this morning.
The first hour was great, then things got REALLY quiet for no particular
reason. The Rowing Club had some nice birds, though, to make a nice ending
to the day.

Highlights:

Green-winged Teal 3 males, 5 females at the Rowing Club
Bald Eagle Adult flying south past R/C field just before
8:00
Wilson's Snipe One at the weir
Hairy Woodpecker One at RC
Brown Creeper One at RC
Yellow-rumped Warbler Around 5. The ones we saw well were Myrtles
Savannah Sparrow 1 in East Meadow
Western Meadowlark 1 in East Meadow
Purple Finch 2-4 in ash trees, some eating old blackberries

The views of ducks were the real highlight, including lots of display
activity by Gadwall, and quite a few Greater Scaup in the slough where we
could get good views.

We ended up with about 50 species for the day, and 134 for the year.
