This morning Kristin Stewart, her friend Roberta and I went to look for the
Satsop RUFF. We located the bird on Moore RD at 8:30 AM, it was in a
flooded field across from some houses after the turn for West Moore RD (I
believe the house numbers were in the upper 80s). We saw the RUFF foraging
with the single GR YELLOWLEGS, scoped here for a bit and then the birds
flushed when the dog across the street got overexcited. We talked to the
owners of a house on Moore RD and they were really excited about the
sighting...very friendly.

On the way out we found the birds again in the flooded fields just at the
beginning of Moore RD. Watched them for a bit longer here, left at 9:15 or
so.

Also searched for the Swamp Sparrows with no luck...let's not talk about it.
We did have another great conversation with the property owner on
Wenzel-Slough with the twin silos...and believe the Swamp Sparrow to be
present here (but didn't get those clinching looks).

Good birding,
