This is the Vancouver Bird Alert for Saturday, December 28th, evening
update, sponsored in part by the Wild Birds Unlimited Stores in
Vancouver and North Vancouver.

The feature birds are: Out of town HOODED WARBLER and locally
YELLOW-BILLED LOON.

Sightings for Saturday, December 28th

RARE BIRD ALERT! Out of town, today on the Duncan Christmas Bird
Count a male HOODED WARBLER was found! The bird was at the corner of
Miller Road and Glenora Road on the south side of Duncan.

Locally, a YELLOW-BILLED LOON was found at the base of the Tsawwassen
Ferry Jetty on the south side. Also here along the shoreline was the
WILLET and the RUDDY TURNSTONE.

A male YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD was in a flock of blackbirds along
68th Street about a kilometer south of River Road in Delta.

Friday, December 27th

An adult winter plumaged GLAUCOUS GULL was found in a field at 60th
Ave and River Road in Delta.
