Tweeters,

I saw two adult Peregrine Falcons in West Olympia yesterday afternoon. They
were sitting atop the very tall (100'+) antenna tower that stands between
Circuit City and the Outback restaurant, more or less in the middle of that
block on the south side of Capitol Mall Blvd. There was an apparent size
difference in the two from my perspective, and the presumed female was
actively plucking a bird kill of some kind. This all hints at the
possibility of a potential soon-to-be nesting pair of adult Peregrines in
the Olympia area. I would be curious to know if others have seen a pair of
Peregrines in the area. I just moved to the area a year ago from Seattle
and don't have any knowledge of past history of these falcons nesting in the
immediate Olympia area, so perhaps this is old news.

Happy New Year birding, Bob Sundstrom
