Hi tweets,

I just spent a couple of hours at the logboom in
Kenmore after observing a a male TUFTED DUCK with lots
of scaup at close range. The TUDU and several Scaup
came to within about 50 feet of the pier. I obtained
several photos. Unfortunately, the next time I
reached in my pocket I noticed my film was not there
anymore...after a careful search, it was noted in its
canister floating west in the lake.

There is also a very odd looking scaup on the lake.
It has a very nice white ring around the front of its
neck but which does not extend around the back. Very
striking. I "should" have some photos of that bird
still. Has anyone ever seen this on scaup before?
