This weekend my dad and I are going to jump over the mountains to the west side of the state. We are going to look for winter specialties that we can't see in Eastern Washington. Any information on where we can find the following birds would be very much appreciated. We will be staying in Everett, so most of our birding will take place along the Sound (I'm not going to Ocean Shores this time, darn).

Target Birds:

Surfbird (Where are these birds seen on the Seattle CBC?)
Brant
Black Scoter
Glaucous Gull (I know this species is difficult to find.)

Where's a good passerine birding area (I'd like to see Hutton's Vireo, Purple Finch, and Fox Sparrow).

Also are there any American Black Ducks left in Everett?
