Friday, February 1, 2002, 1:04 PM. Hi this is Greg Toffic. I'm at Green
Lake and near the Playhouse on the diving platform, there's a GLAUCOUS GULL.
I am not sure whether it's a first or second year. I couldn't remember what
to look for when I went by there. But it's very clearly a large completely
pale gull with white wingtips, a pink bill with only a small amount of black
on the bill tip. I didn't notice eye color which I think that is useful
determining if it's first or second year. Anyway, it's there with a small
number of other gulls is easily spotted naked eye from the walking path.

Saturday, February 2, 2002, 10:35 PM. Hi, this is Stephen Mlodinow. Today
Dennis Duffy, Ryan Shaw and I had 3 or 4 TRI-COLORED BLACKBIRDS in the
Vancouver Lake area. Take the main road to Vancouver Lake, when Vancouver
Lake first appears on your right turn left, follow that road a mile or so
and it curves around to the right. You will pass a farmhouse on your right
and then you'll have dairy farms, or at least cow farms, on both sides of
the road, pastures. The blackbird flock was feeding mainly on the south side
of the road. Two birds were immature males. There was an adult male. I also
believe there was an adult female present. Also further down the road at the
Shilapoo Access Parking Areas and in nearby hedgerows we had 8
WHITE-THROATED SPARROW and a SWAMP SPARROW.
At the Woodland Dike Access Road we had 2 more WHITE-THROATED
SPARROWS. On mid Dike Road in the Woodland Dike Access area, we had 17
GREAT EGRETS reached by taking Wayland Road to the east from Dike Access
Road. This again in the Woodland area. That's it. Good luck and good

Sunday, February 4, 2002, 9:49 PM. This is Rachel Lawson at (206) 282-5593.
Today in Cle Elum, I saw about 9 PINE GROSBEAKS and a flock of about 40
BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS at the location reported on January 26 by Alan Grenon and
Mike Donohue. That's at 4th and Harris. Also there were an additional 5 PINE
GROSBEAKS in South Cle Elum. That's it. Good birding.

Sunday, February 4, 2002, 9:58PM. This is Rachel Lawson, BirdBox System

like to report on Sunday, February 3, he saw a PRAIRIE FALCON in Stanwood on
the tall smokestack near the Stanwood Sewage Ponds. That's it.
