Greetings,
The ravine behind my apartment was busy today - 13 species sighted! None
were unusual species, but I found them all fun to watch. In addition to the
regulars (listed below) visitors in the trees and around the blackberry vines
at the top edge of the gully or at my small feeder, there were two Varied
Thrush (male and female - A real treat for me since I saw my first VT just
two weeks ago.), a Spotted Towhee, a small flock of Bushtits (Pacific with
the distinctively darker and brown crown) and a Bewick's Wren!

The Regulars (i.e., those I see daily or almost daily ):

Chestnut-backed Chickadee
Black-capped Chickadee
Red-breasted Nuthatch
Brown Creeper
Hairy Woodpecker
Dark-eyed Junco
Pine Siskin
House Sparrow
Owl (heard at night, but not sighted yet, may be Great Horned)
