I have been reading and doing some postings on Tweeters for about one year or
less. I'm a novice birder and have been birding for about 3 years or so. One
thing I have noticed is that there seems to be two types of birders out
there. Those who make mistakes and understand others make mistakes
identifying birds, and don't make a big deal of it. The other group of
birders take this so seriously that you have the capability of scaring people
off this site. I've been quietly reading all postings and it is my opinion
that you will pay the price for making a posting mistake on tweeters. It
seems alittle silly. I made an oops with a sighting at Deception Pass last
year and got a PRIVATE response from someone in Saudi Arabia. The response
was very well written, gave me the benefit of the doubt, but raised my
suspicions about my sighting. I corrected my mistake and went on. I will
continue to read and post and if I make a mistake so be it......By the way,
there is a Sharpie or Coopers in my backyard and I can't tell the
difference.....oh well!
