Speaking of a group that could use a lesson on wildlife identification, I
just heard the NBC Olympic commentators identify a pair of Bald Eagles as
"Golden Eagles, the symbol of America," and last night the giant elk puppet
was an ANTELOPE, the Western Diamondback Rattlesnake puppet was a "Western
MOUNTAIN Rattler" and the costumed skaters that were mix of mountain lions
and bobcats were all mountain lions. And it's only the first day!
Maybe some of them read Tweeters and they can learn from their
mistakes....fortunately for me, I know that none of the commentators were my
former students. :)
