...................About 40 TUNDRA SWANS have been spending the last 2
months at a large pond just north of Kalama, Wash.. along the east side
of the I-5 freeway.,---can be easily observed going northbound.
...................On my way to Long Beach Peninsula, Wash, took a side
trip to Tokeland, Wash. and finally observed the BAR-TAILED GODWIT with
the copious numbers of MARBLED GODWITS and other shorebirds, and ducks
and a COMMON LOON.
...................Close to a 1000 DUNLIN and SANDERLINGS (in mixed
flocks) along the ocean beach Sun. aft.---north end of the peninsula.
Snow covered the hilltops around Willapa Bay, with a gorgeous view of
sun-lit Mt. Rainier to the east.
