Well, the one additional thing, which has been mentioned but which I think is
of extreme importance, is that once a poster has realized that they've probably
mis-reported a species on Tweeters, they really owe it to Tweeters to correct
the record by posting a correction themselves (or a rebuttal to the doubters
if you still think you saw what you said you'd seen).

I consider myself to be a pretty advanced birder, especially concerning King
County. But I don't know my shorebird distributions well enough to have been
totally skeptical of the report, and it WOULD have been a bit of false data
stored away in my knowledge bank if Dennis hadn't questioned it.
