Mike Donahue, Alan Grenon and I birded Pacific and Grays Harbor Counties this morning and afternoon. Highlights:

1. Bar-tailed Godwit at Tokeland marina (10:30 am and again at 11:45 am) with Marbled Godwit (200+), Long-billed Dowitcher (16), Whimbrel (2), and Willet (8).
2. Snowy Plovers (22) at the end of Midway Beach Road with numerous Dunlins and lesser numbers of Western Sandpipers and Sanderings.
3. After looking for the Emperor Goose west of Raymond earlier in the day, we tried the fields across the Willapa River and found the goose at 1:00 pm 2.5 miles northwest of South Bend along Hwy 101 across from Giles Lane. Even through the driving rain, it was great bird!

We also birded along Brady Loop Road and saw three Eurasian Wigeon and a group of Tundra Swans.

Thanks to all who have kept us up to date on the great birds in these areas.
