Subject: Bald Eagles on the Web

Hello All,

It is breeding season again for a reintroduced population of Bald Eagles on Santa Catalina Island in southern California. As part of our monitoring program we have a camera placed at a nest and have linked it to the Web, courtesy of the University of Southern California. This nest features a trio of Bald Eagles (2 females and a male) that have been breeding together since 1992. The trio has been working on their nest for nearly 2 months and we expect them to lay eggs within the next 1-2 weeks. The live, streaming video is available from sunrise to sunset and can be accessed through http://www.iws.org or http://wrigley.usc.edu/live.html . To view the streaming video you will need the free RealPlayer, which can be downloaded through links at both sites. For those of you who may have seen this video in the past, we have updated several of our transmitters, resulting in a much better image.
