A couple of brightly plumaged adult White-crowned Sparrows have shown up around
Vashon in the last couple of days. Usually I would say less than ten winter on
Vashon or Maury Islands though a hundred or so Golden-crowned Sparrows do. So
when these two adult White-crowns show up I wonder if some are beginning to
move for spring migration already. On the other hand, local breeders don't
seem to show up until mid-April on the two islands.

Any ideas?
