Today's new sightings in the ravine were a Steller's Jay and an adult female
Pileated Woodpecker. The jay landed on the balcony and consumed a few seeds.
The Pileated checked-out one of the trees that is a favorite of the Harry
and Downy then moved on. That makes 18 species so far, 19 if I count the
gulls that pass over the tree tops.
